Linn-Benton Men Take Down Storm on Sophomore Night
ALBANY, Oregon – The Linn-Benton Men's Basketball team defeated Chemeketa Community
College 100-93 on Saturday, March. 5.
The Roadrunners improved to 4-18 on the season, and 2-13 in the NWAC South Region. The Storm fell to 11-14 on the season, and 4-10 in the NWAC South Region.
The Roadrunners came out strong in their final home game of the season. In his final home game, Roadrunner Sophomore Kye Blaser scored 32 points shooting 9-17 from the field, and hitting 4 three-point shots. Roadrunner Ayden Foster added 20 points and 9 rebounds.
“My teammates finding me and pushing the ball in transition helps a lot, it’s hard to score in the half-court and so when you get easy looks, it helps get you going,” Blaser said.
Up next the Roadrunners travel to take on Umpqua Community College on Wednesday, March 9. 1140 Umpqua College Rd, Roseburg.
“It means a lot to the players. I’m really, really proud of them and we talked about our last time on the floor together and all the things that we’ve been through. I told them it was going to take a tremendous effort for everybody physically, mentally, and emotionally," Roadrunner Head Coach Everett Hartman said.
