LBCC Weight Room now Open for Winter Term to Students, Faculty, and Staff

For any late New Year’s resolutions out there, the LBCC weight room is now open to any students, faculty, and staff looking to get a workout in without having to go too far.

“The LBCC weight room offers the opportunity to come in and stay physically fit. Students can go to work out and not leave campus,” Athletics Facilities Coordinator Leslie Reinecker said.

In this day and age it can be difficult to find a gym that’s affordable and convenient. Not only does the LBCC weight room offer a wide assortment of machines and weights to use, but it’s completely free to all students, faculty, and staff.

Linn-Benton Volleyball player Kennedy Kantola said the open weight room hours have allowed her to take advantage of the wide variety of machines that help her recover from an ankle injury.

The weight room has now changed their hours, it’s open 6-8 a.m and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, except Tuesday. Those who are looking to stay away from large gyms and groups during the pandemic while also looking to stay in shape can look towards the LBCC weight room.

All students, faculty, and staff need to do to use the facility is visit the Linn-Benton Athletics homepage online prior to going, finding the “Inside Athletics” tab, and click on Facilities. From there you can click on the “LBCC Weight Room” and fill out your pass.
